Okay - here is one that I don't if it will fly or not. How about... movie trivia? I know - Huh? What is he talking about?
It goes something like this..... a person gives a quote from a movie and the respondant tries to guess what the name of the movie is. Same idea as the word games but with movie trivia.
As an example and I don't expect all of us to be able to get the quotes, but it sure CAN be fun trying.
"That's your form of persuasion - you just said so yourself. Why don't I bend you over the table and I'll plant one on your keester. I'll send you home with a ... I just pumped the neighbour's cat look on your face."
Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge.
Like I said - I don't expect that all of us can do this but you never know until you try.
Moderators - over to you.

11-09-2007, 01:17 AM
Great idea....I am terrible at these types of games...hahaha probably because I dont watch to many movies...hahha

Gigleing at the prevoius post , then getting to then matter at hand .

"Who wants to be the first to go into the creepy grave that leads to the scary tunnel ?"

11-15-2007, 09:31 PM
That sounds like Dennis Miller from a movie that I can't remember.
By the way - good to see that there are some of us who like to strain the brain. To answer wizard's question about the prize - the satisfaction of getting it right. Kind of like telling the wife, "See? I told you so."
I can feel the looks already from the women.

11-15-2007, 10:42 PM
nope not a Dennis Miller movie

give you a hint it has Nicolas Cage in it.

11-16-2007, 01:24 AM
national treasure-

11-16-2007, 08:15 PM

Blood Diamond....great movie

11-18-2007, 06:21 AM
Nice Job Philly. I dig that film

11-18-2007, 05:33 PM
"Only a fool would try to arrest us twice in one day" One character says to one.

"Your under arrest." A man riding a horse says as he rides up

"A Fool." The two characters say in unison.

11-19-2007, 02:43 AM
Is that Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid?

11-19-2007, 04:39 AM

11-19-2007, 04:45 AM
Three Musketeers...the Disney version with Chris O'Donnel, Keifer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen

I love that movie

11-19-2007, 05:20 AM
yeah you are right but please do not forget about Oliver Platt, he was so funny in the film....oh and Tim Curry too, and Rebecca Demory. But now it is your turn...see if you can stump me, you might find it hard for me to be stumped.

11-19-2007, 05:29 AM

11-21-2007, 06:22 AM
Is it Chasing Amy?

11-21-2007, 06:51 AM
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

11-21-2007, 04:29 PM
Freedom rings in with the correct answer, yes it was Silent Bob in Chasing Amy. Though Kevin Smith Character does not say a lot but when the Lunchbox speaks everyone listens, because it is words of wisdom.

Smoochie Booochies. And Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and rest assured ladies if you put on any pounds PhillyCub will still love you.

11-23-2007, 06:56 AM
"My dad thinks I pay for all this with catering jobs. Never underestimate the power of denial."

Since it is pretty obscure I'll tell you the main character won an Oscar for the role in 1999.

11-23-2007, 05:17 PM
Blueshark come on dude you can do better than bringing in "American Beauty" quotes.

11-24-2007, 05:05 AM
Wow Philly, you kick ass. I thought that was kind of obscure. Ill think some more and try again later.

11-24-2007, 06:04 AM
Bring it on, as long as they are English with no subtitles, I think I can get every single one.

11-24-2007, 06:06 AM
Until you think of one here is one of mine.

"Lunchtime! The longer you animals bark, the colder your lunch gets. Come on, move it out. You too, down there! Hey, turkey!"

12-02-2007, 06:44 AM
??? you totally got me. I remember the quote comes from a prison guard but for the life of me can't remember the film. Somebody help....

12-02-2007, 06:47 AM
Try this one in the mean time. It should be easy for people that like good film. It is the last line of the movie.
"You met me at a very strange time in my life."

12-02-2007, 06:53 AM
have I mentioned I suck at this game...lol

12-02-2007, 07:08 AM
It is hard for everyone but Philly, Freedom.

12-02-2007, 07:16 AM
lol...think you're right

12-03-2007, 04:56 AM
OK because no one got mine I will have to give the answer..."The Goonies" it was one of the opening scenes as the mother and brother are waiting for the brother to make his way out of the jail.

ps.. yours is from Fight Club

12-03-2007, 05:52 AM
"We are not worthy!! Not worthy!!" You rock Philly

12-08-2007, 05:14 AM
To get the thread going again....
"The only way I'm going to keep them busy is to let them shoot holes in me!"
Hint - early Clint flick

12-08-2007, 04:41 PM
"Kelly's Heroes" from the year 1970.

12-17-2007, 09:12 PM

One of my favorite movies:

"Oh I'm just your average horny little devil."

12-17-2007, 11:43 PM
The Witches of Eastwick eh?

12-18-2007, 01:28 AM

"She wants you to meet her in the rainbow"

12-25-2007, 07:32 AM
i don't know that one, but don't watch many movies-

but i noticed this one- and struck me as funny think it went

'to me just look like dead people'
or it might be
'just look like dead people to me'

12-25-2007, 07:44 PM
I have no idea what that one is Wizard, but what the hey it's Christmas, and we're all a lil tipsy.

The answer to mine was Dragonfly.

Now, for a good Christmas one...I bet ANYbody can guess it!

"You'll shoot your eye out, kid."

12-25-2007, 08:57 PM
Oh Raven, everyone loves A Christmas Story. Is that the title. I know it is a Red Ryder BB Gun that can shoot your eye out.

Merry Christmas doll

12-26-2007, 05:26 AM
Come on guys leave things up there long enough for me to get an answer in.

12-27-2007, 12:37 AM
hehe sorry phillycub, I threw up an easy one!

Yes, blue, its called A Christmas Story! Came out two years before me lol

Figure that one out and you'll get a medal!

Allright, somebody else's turn to throw up a brain teaser ;)

12-27-2007, 03:46 AM
Try this one:

"Ya can't swim." (character laughs) "Hell, the fall will probably kill ya."

If you are older like me, it should be an easy one.

(And you were born in 1985. From what precious ore is my medal made?)

12-27-2007, 05:45 AM
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

12-27-2007, 01:50 PM
Phillycub you really seem to know your movies.lets see who knows this one.

"I trust everyone ,its the devil inside them that I don't trust.

12-27-2007, 04:25 PM
If no one else knows it, I know it.

12-27-2007, 08:24 PM

I just saw this for like the fifth time just the other

I like the new version of this film, it's from
"The Italian Job".

Good one Gypsy.

Here's one for all to ponder.

I shall tell you where we are. We're in the darkest region of the human brain, a radiant abyss where men go to find themselves.

12-28-2007, 05:38 AM
knows this one too

12-28-2007, 06:17 AM
Ok Philly, just tell us. I am stumped on that one.

As you share the title, ponder this and answer this one too.

"Her body is made of the strongest substance known to man"

12-28-2007, 07:22 AM
Well I don't know either so I'll throw this one out...

"You keep using that word, but I don't think it means what you think it means"

12-28-2007, 04:55 PM

Here is another one...

"Villiany wears many masks, none of which are more dangerous than virtue."

12-30-2007, 02:36 AM
Ok so two tries gets a hint:
"Her body is made of the strongest substance known to man."
Wanda Sykes was in the movie.

12-30-2007, 04:15 AM
I'll make a guess, as it's the only movie I can think of with Wanda Sykes in it.....

Evan Almighty?

01-07-2008, 11:59 PM
Don't know at all, and I do know who Wanda Sykes is.
An easy one maybe...
"Look, I'm not with everyone here - but I will take a piece of him."
"A piece you shall have"

01-08-2008, 12:56 AM
Ok, so "Her body is made of.....

"if this is torture, chain me to the wall"

02-12-2008, 07:00 AM
Alrightythen Philly....
"What's your names, smart bastards?"
"Grey... Green.... Brown.... Oakover."
"Who's Oakover?"

No reply from Philly Cub.... and the correct answer is... "The Odd Angry Shot" about the Australian SAS in VietNam.

02-12-2008, 01:31 PM
I guess I should give my answers as well .

It from "Quigley Down Under" with Tom Selleck and Laura San Giacomo
