View Full Version : Hush, Touch Me

When I lay here with my head beside yours on the pillow, I can smell your skin.
Your heart beats so hard, so strong I can hear it echo in mine.
I dream of you, even when you're right beside me.
My heart swells until my chest hurts, just touching, kissing, tasting you.
For you, always. In my heart, in my mind, in my body. Yours.

I know I'm not the best that I can be
I know I leave a lot to be desired but
for you I can give anything and everything.

Hush, touch me
The crisp hair, the cool air
Smooth skin, silky but so firm
Sliding, slowly, sensuously together
You are so hard, I am so soft
Yielding, sheathing that hardest of parts
Gripping, sighing, straining upward
Onward of the light, glowing, exploding
Tearing apart on the rocks of our lust
Breaking like waves through our flesh
Gasping as the tide pulls away
Leaving me seared and open
Spread before you like so many
Only to be lifted, and drifting, gently down.
In your arms, we begin again.
The silence weighing down, filled with only our sighs
Hush, touch me. Touch me again.

I was never much of a poetry fan to be honest, but this was in my new posts list so I thought I'd have a look.
WOW !! Am I glad I did. This poem made the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up and gave me goose bumps. I really like this poem and it touched me.

Thank you so much for opening my eyes to something I was blind to

Thank you everyone. The beauty of poetry is that it can mean so many different things to different people. It is all about who reads it, not who wrote it. The eye of the beholder and whatnot. :) Thanks again!
