It began with a Message
By Jolly1

This Idea came to me by a song---Every Picture tells a Story--Don't it?

It had been a shitty day at work, and I had a flat tire on the way home. The pile of bills was waiting for me at the mailbox and my dog had pissed on the floor. It was just one more shitty day in a shitty week of a shitty month. Nothing was going right for me, and things were not looking up. To say I was depressed was an understatement. I would have shot myself if I could have had the extra money to buy a gun.

I entered my house and let the dog out into the back yard, then cleaned the puddle he had left on the floor. I threw the mail on the kitchen counter, went and got a cold beer and drained half of it. By then the dog was scratching at the door so I let him in, fed him and gave him fresh water. I flopped down in my well worn recliner and turned on the TV with the remote.

It was then when I noticed the answering machine blinking, telling me I had 7 messages waiting for me. This was not unusual as the credit card companies and loan companies had been hounding me for months, wanting a payment on their account. Well hell I may as well listen to them and get it over with. I hit the play button and the, and half listened to the same old messages. That is until message number five played, it was from Susan.

Just the sound of her voice raised my spirits and parts of my anatomy, as the Picture of her came to my mind.

I had met Susan in New York, she was a model and I a photographer. I fell in love with her the first time I heard her speak, she was from Sydney Australia and I loved her accent. The pictures in my mind were the photos I had taken of her. Since I had returned from Australia, with out Susan my life had been in the dumps. I had gone there to photograph her and after the shoot, I had moved in with her. We had a lovely time together, but I just had to come back home and she didnít want to come with me.

Oh how I remember her, face and body. Oh how I missed her, what a fool I had been to leave her.

Hell what did she say, I had to rewind the tape on the old answering machine to get her message as my mind had wondered off to another place and time. As I played the message again I tried to listen over the sound of my thumping heart. She said she was coming to town tomorrow and would like to see me before she returned home. Oh god, what was I going to do, I knew I looked like shit, my hair needed cutting, I had not shaved in two weeks, nor had I washed clothes in a while. I didnít want her to see me like this.

What could I do? My checking account was over drawn, my credit cards maxed out, I only had five dollars in my wallet and payday was three days away. Still her pictures flashed thru my mind.

I ran and jumped into the shower, then tried to shave with a dull razor blade. I tried to shape up my hair the best I could, then tried to wash some clothes in the bathtub. As I looked in the mirror I did not like what I saw, my face bleeding in several places from the dull razor blade. My hair was gapped and uneven, my eyes were sunk into my skull. I was just a plain mess, yet I knew I would go and meet Susan tomorrow.

I got into bed and tried to sleep, which proved impossible. When I did manage to doze off, I had dreams of Susan. The touch of her hand on my face, the lingering kisses when out lips met. I could remember the smell of her hair, her hard nipples as they pressed against my chest. I remembered the sounds she made when I kissed those nipples and her whimper as I continued to kiss south. I remembered the smell of her pussy as I licked and sucked her clit. I remembered her trembling and grabbing my hair as she came in my mouth. I remembered making slow passionate love to her as she wrapped her legs around my back. I remembered her riding my hard cock and the feel of her pussy milking the cum from me. I remembered Susan.

I got up early and put on some clean damp clothes, brushed my teeth, tried to comb my hair, and rushed out of the house. I pleaded with God not to let me run out of gas, as I raced to the airport. I parked the car and waited for Susan to arrive. I wondered if she had changed much in the year since I had seen her? Had life been as hard on her as it had been for me? What would I say to her? What could I say to her? I knew I had been a jackass, to have left the only woman I had ever loved. Would she take me back? I would beg if it would help. God please make her take me back.

Then I saw her, my heart did a flip flop. As she moved thru the crowd toward the baggage claim area, I noticed she looked to have gained a little weight. And then I noticed him, he was holding her hand. I felt like I could not breath, there was a huge lump in my throat. I tried to tell my self, that maybe it was her brother, all the time in my heart I knew he wasnít.

It was about then Susan saw me and waved, all I could do was smile and wave back. I slowly rambled over to her and she hugged me and kissed my cheek. And then she shattered my heart and my world by introducing her husband. I smiled weakly and shook his hand with my cold sweaty hand. Susan was full of cheer as she rubbed her belly and told me the good news, she was five months pregnant, God could this get any worse?

Susan told me she had wanted to see me to introduce her husband and tell me about her baby. She told me how happy she was, and that she was glad I had left when I did. Or she may not have met Tom. She said at first she was hurt and mad at me for leaving her, but as time went on she realized that I deserved to be happy to and that I was not happy in her country. Then she had met Tom and turned a sad thing into happiness. Tom was a writer and they were meeting his publisher and going site seeing for a few days. She asked me if I wanted to join them for dinner, but I told her I was busy, so we parted ways at the airport.

With my heart and world in pieces, I drove home. The only good thing I could think of was that Tom would never see Susan as I had. Because the pictures were in my mind.

This if the first time I have tried to write a story around some pictures, I hope you enjoy it

not bad but is there any way to get the pctures and writing on a regular sized page coz it gets very annoying, i mean i just start to get into the story an i have to break concentration to move the bar and even for the pictures you have to keep moving the bar in order to see more than just one part of her.

overall it was good but could be much better
