I would have thought they would have decided on one or the other and stayed with a fuller story for this instead of falling between two stools.
Like they couldn't decide what kind of movie they were making.

I saw Aquaman and was actually surprised by how good it was. As usual with the DCEU, the special effects weren't all that great especially with the characters' hair when they were underwater. And the back story doesn't really mesh with what was shown in Justice League. But Jason Momoa is the bro you wish you could hang out with.

Literally just finished "Into The Spider-Verse" and holy shit. A leap forward in animated movies. Leaves Disney/Pixar I'm the dust in animation and storytelling. Marvel has been iffy in their animated movies compared to DC but this I would dare to call better than either Mask of the Phantasm or Return of the Joker and any of their more recent efforts.

I watched Von Lux. It was entertaining but I'm not sure what the point of it was.

I saw Captain Marvel and today I'm gonna see Us. I can see why Incels aren't caring for Captain Marvel. She's in charge, she doesn't have a love interest, Fury is the sidekick, and she's arrogent and smug and then she proves that she deserves to be arrogent and smug. I was awesome! Loved the music. It wasn't Guardians of the Galaxy level of awesome but each song defenitly screamed "Dis-affected". Can't wait to see her and Thor get into a dick measuring contest.

I finally got around to seeing Glass and Shamalongadingdong dropped the ball again, this time with a third act character introduction and a second act plot string that mad no sense. In the second act, all three of the guys are locked up in the asylum where the doctor tries to question whether they are actually super-powered. Like, they haven't lived through two movies already that proved their powers. And Horde and Dunn actually start to fall for it. Hell, Horde has literally climbed walls and Dunn has literally been living the life of a superhero. There is no reason they would doubt their abilities. And then the third act reveal of the Shamrock Society was ridiculous. Glass had this whole plan mapped out for a society of cape-killers that nobody even knew existed so the ending had no emotional weight.
