    *Spoilers* The Boob-Tube

We have the Movie Thread so I thought about adding a TV thread.
    -Doctor Who
Doctor Who premiered and I loved it. It really appeared to have a better production value and was clearly filmed on-sure rather than a sound stage. The female Doctor was great and there was very little mention from her in the differences between going from male to female. And the cliffhanger was excellent.

Been watching The Gifted. A. So many hot girls. B. Unless we find out the show takes place during 1990's Seattle then it's getting pretty obvious that they're trying to hide Natalie Alyn Lind's chest.

Okay, so I haven't written here much lately for one reason, I'm binging the Whendon-verse shows. Again. They really are very re-watchable. Any whoo, I've also started on "The Passage" and it's pretty good. It's a vampire show but it gives it a bit of a clever nod with scientists studying them but refusing to call them "vampires" because vampires don't exsist. It's a bit like The Strain in that it covers vampirisum like a plague. My only problem with it is that it should be more of a sci-fi show than a horror trying to use jump-scares. They need to pick a genre and stick to it. Marc-Paul Gossler is actually really good in it and has great chemistry with the young girl in the show.

I have been thoroughly enjoying Star Trek Discovery and Doom Patrol. I love the characters interacting in both of them and really enjoy Discovery fleshing out the bridge crew finally.

So "The Passage" had it's season finale and I haven't heard if it's being re-upped yet. The ending was kind of messy. I can see how they'd want to be all mysterious on how the series could progress but it just seemed sloppy to me. And I just read that Captain Pike won't be back for season 3 of discovery so that kind of has me down. I was really hoping for more Rebecca Romijn as #1. But Neon Genesis Evangelion is coming to Netflix and I'm practically rigid with excitment for that.

Read elsewhere it got canceled. (Personally, betting it was due to tech-costs & a side-effect of the Fox-Disney purchase.) If only they could find a way to fit it on the actual Disney Channel or some sort of sub-movies, the way "X-Men" comics existed in "Logan".

Meanwhile, I was largely disappointed in the mentioned-but-not-shown events & lack of any Bruce Wayne in the "Gotham" series finale. Also, they had Liv & Ravi fighting over the brain of a never-before-mentioned character on the final-season premiere of "IZombie", & introduced a bunch of brand-new characters (not to mention a "to be continued" printed on the episode's ending, which I don't think they've ever done before).

I never got into iZombie for some reason. It just never rang with me. I stopped watching Gotham mid-way through season for and am still trying to get caught up. Yeah, I think they axed The Gifted for the same reason. Also, the brother was annoying as hell anyways.

I keep wishing they'd give "Liv" a chance to use her real accent. (I've only seen her do 1 TV interview in the run of the show, & she had a REALLY deep Aussie accent.) Also, I liked the complexity of the brother's storyline, but I knew the Mom from "Person Of Interest", & thought she was being INCREDIBLY wasted.
